Welcome! Coram Deo Vita means “Living before the face of/in the presence of God.” Hopefully the Latin doesn’t come across as pretentious! I just like the fact that it describes life…whether you agree or disagree with that we can talk about sometime.

After years of being a blog voyeur, I decide to enter the blogging world. Please be patient with my feeble attempts to grow this venture. After years of checking out the high quality of a great number of blogs, I only hope that I will eventually attain a level of quality that does justice to the blogging world. I figured this would be a good way to practice writing too.

So what’s the point of this blog?  I hope to use this arena to create an atmosphere that allows participants to practice writing, dialogue, debate, and argument in the good sense. You will probably see a little of everything here; from the deep to the whimsically shallow. I hope to stimulate thinking, entertain, encourage, and maybe challenge  conventional wisdom. Do me a favor and offer me the same things with your comments. A couple of caveats: no name calling or personal attacks! We’ve got enough of that right now – especially in an election year!
